I originally bought this coral as a dark brown colony with a creamy white edging to it. As time went by it developed it's natural olive green colour with a lilac edge. I then noticed a small patch of lime green appear on one of the flute & thought it very strange as I also have some lime green frags in the same tank but not touching. These were bought earlier from a completely different lime green colony. I then suffered an unexpected epidemic of Monti-munching nudibranches (tiny white tufty fellas) who set about decimating this colony.I managed to save a few frags & luckily one of them was the piece with this patch of lime green. I've kept all the Monti frags in my frag tank for the last few months carefully picking off the nudi's & think the coast is finally clear. The bi-coloured frag was carefully snapped off so as to retain the 50/50 colouration on both pieces & they seem to be doing well. Why this has happened in the first place is a mystery really. Perhaps it's got to do with free floating Xoanthellae from one species being absorbed by another... Think it looks cool anyway!
